Jeremy Spath will be rescheduled. 

Dear Registrants,

Please be advised that Jeremy Spath’s presentation has been rescheduled for November 21. Tomorrow’s session will instead feature Tony Gurnoe, President & Lead Arborist of Treehugger Care and Consulting, presenting on a selection of native oaks and their suitability for various landscaping applications. The presentation will cover identifying traits, horticultural characteristics of various species such as size, drought tolerance, and fall color, what to look for when selecting plants from the nursery, proper installation practices, and some of the challenges of incorporating local oaks into shrinking suburban lots.

Registrants who still wish to attend are welcome to do so. Those who prefer to make other arrangements may do so. This notice is being sent so that all registrants have the opportunity to decide whether they wish to attend. We apologize for the short notice and any inconvenience.

(Consider joining or renewing with the San Diego Horticultural Society for $30.00 and attend this meeting for free.)

The Plant Forum has returned! So please bring some of your plants to share with members... All you have to do is:

1) Bring a cutting or a potted plant to a meeting.

2) BEFORE you leave home, take a minute to print out a slip of paper with the common and scientific name of the plant, where it is native to (if you know that), what city it is growing in, your name, and a couple of sentences about your experience with the plant.

Bring plants or cuttings to share at the Plant Forum before the meeting.
